to the material Standards as shown in Table 13 or assessed in accordance with Technical Requirement R3. in accordance with BS EN 14783 ''Fully supported metal sheet and strip roofing, external cladding and internal
manufacture. This standard may serve as a standard reference for the specification for preformed waterproofing membranes in the building industry. In preparing this standard, the following
Division 7 – Waterproofing: Part 1 of the waterproofing section should include standard language pertaining to general requirements. These requirements would include submittals, manufacturer requirements,
Electrical energy storage (EES) systems - Part 5-3. Safety requirements for electrochemical based EES systems considering initially non-anticipated modifications, partial replacement, changing application, relocation and loading reused battery.
As the industry for battery energy storage systems (BESS) has grown, a broad range of H&S related standards have been developed. There are national and international standards, those adopted by the British Standards Institution (BSI) or published by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), CENELEC, ISO, etc.
Only fully bonded systems assessed in accordance with Technical Requirement R3 for the specific purpose should be used internally. Design at junctions and corners should account for proprietary components and be in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Waterproofing barriers should return at corners to prevent water tracking behind.
4.0 Energy Storage System Installation Review and Approval The purpose of this chapter is to provide a high-level overview of what is involved in documenting or validating the safety of an ESS as installed in, on, or adjacent to buildings or facilities.
Completed waterproofing should be protected by: carefully placed backfill material. The manufacturer’s recommendations for climatic conditions at the time of installation should be followed. Structural design should be undertaken by an engineer in accordance with Technical Requirement R5.
Type A systems generally accepted by NHBC when assessed in accordance with Technical Requirement R3 include: proprietary systems or products assessed in accordance with Technical Requirement R3. Plain polyethylene sheet should not be used as a waterproofing system.
