String Inverters. String inverters are the oldest and most common type of solar inverters for small systems in the 500-watt to 3kW range. They are often used in portable and residential applications. The principle
Note: These prices are just estimates and vary on factors such as the brand, features, and installation requirements. But for the Micro solar inverter, a unit typically costs around £90 – £100. meanwhile, for a 3.5 kW solar panel

If you have forgotten the password for the inverter, you can unlock the inverter with a personal unlocking key (PUK). For each inverter, one PUK is available for each user group (user and installer). You can request the
On-grid (grid) inverters – the most popular type of inverters, adapted to cooperate with the electric grid. In such a system, surplus energy is returned to the grid, which in the discount system acts as "energy storage". This allows the user to
If you have forgotten the password for the inverter, you can unlock the inverter with a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK). For each inverter, there is one PUK for each user group ( User and Installer ). Tip: With PV systems in Sunny Portal, you can also assign a new password via Sunny Portal for the user group Installer.

When you open the inverter user interface, you are prompted to enter the password for the user group “User.” Select the language and enter the password for the user group “User” twice. Compliance with the new password rules is checked (five green check marks). Press Save. You are then prompted to enter the password for the user group “Installer.”
Tip: With PV systems in Sunny Portal, you can also assign a new password via Sunny Portal for the user group Installer. The password for the user group Installer is the same as the system password in Sunny Portal. Request PUK (application form available at ).
This new password must therefore be used for establishing a direct connection to the inverter. If no SMA data logger has been installed in the system or no Webconnect data communication with Sunny Portal is used, the system password must be assigned either with the Sunny Explorer software or via the inverter user interface.
The inverter (s) can no longer be accessed (displayed with a lock symbol). The plant/system password for the inverter (s) has been forgotten. A forgotten system password can be enabled with a PUK (Personal Unlocking Key). For each inverter, one PUK per user group respectively is required. With 1 PUK, 1 inverter can be activated.
